FEATURED CASE STUDY 1:
GLOBAL BANK (Senior Leadership Coaching)
Developing executive presence and leadership gravitas
The challenge
A Deputy CEO at one of the world’s largest banks had been identified internally as the likely future CEO. He was highly respected for his intelligence and strategic thinking, particularly around modernising the organisation.
However, he was naturally introverted and not a confident speaker. In senior leadership settings he sometimes appeared hesitant and lacked the gravitas typically expected from the leader of a major global bank.
What we did
Jack worked with him through focused executive coaching sessions, helping him develop a clearer leadership voice and stronger executive presence.
The work focused on owning the space, communicating ideas with clarity and confidence, and finding a leadership style that felt authentic rather than forced.
The outcome
The change was significant. His confidence and presence grew rapidly and he became far more effective communicating his ideas at board and executive level.
He later became CEO of the bank and led a major modernisation of the organisation. Today he is widely regarded internally as one of the bank’s strongest communicators and presenters.
Client feedback
“He now has the ability to be completely himself — informal when appropriate — but still carry real gravitas. Many people here see him as the best presenter in the bank.”
FEATURED CASE STUDY 2:
MICROSOFT (Large-Scale Team Building)
Bringing 230 people together through confidence, creativity and collaboration
The challenge
Microsoft wanted a team-building experience that encouraged people to take risks, communicate better, and genuinely connect – without it feeling forced or corporate.
What we did
Jack designed a fast-paced comedy workshop where teams learned, created, and performed original material together. The process was carefully structured to build trust, confidence, and collaboration in a safe, supportive environment.
The outcome
Over 230 people actively participated, barriers were broken down, and morale was visibly lifted. The session set the tone for the rest of the conference and delivered on every team-building objective.
Client quote
“A real triumph. We achieved all our objectives and the session exceeded our (high) expectations.” Terry Smith, Director, Microsoft EPG
FEATURED CASE STUDY 3:
ADDICTION WORLDWIDE (Senior Leadership Team)
The challenge:
Eight senior leaders, based around the world, met only once or twice a year. They needed to communicate clearly, build trust quickly, and strengthen their ‘can-do’ culture, all in a short time frame.
What we did:
Jack delivered a four-hour comedy and team-building workshop focused on listening, commitment, confidence, and collaboration. The team created and performed their own original material, reinforcing the importance of moving from planning to action.
The outcome
The team bonded quickly, gained confidence, and left with a shared understanding of how to work better together. The workshop became a highlight of their strategy weekend.
Client quote
“It was exactly what we wanted: fun, stimulating, and most importantly it brought us closer together as a team.” – Mary Budd, Consultant Talent Director, Addiction Worldwide
FEATURED CASE STUDY 4:
Vitality (Sales Presentations)
Turning complex sales presentations into clear, persuasive conversations
The challenge
Vitality had an excellent product, but their sales presentations to brokers were overly complex and too reliant on PowerPoint. The key messages weren’t landing.
The outcome
Vitality overhauled their sales presentations. Messages became clearer, more engaging, and more client-focused, with brokers noticing a significant improvement.
Client quote
“Vitality now give us just about the best presentations we receive. The improvement is massive.”— Ian Green, Sales Director (PMI Brokers)
FEATURED CASE STUDY 5:
MICROSOFT (Neil Laver / Sales Team)
Building confidence, storytelling and team connection across cultures
The challenge
Neil wanted his team to feel more confident, come out of their shells, improve their storytelling, and — most importantly — come together as a team. There were concerns about whether comedy and improvisation would work across language and cultural barriers.
What we did
Jack ran a workshop focused on confidence, storytelling, and collaboration, using humour as a safe way for people to take risks, support each other, and communicate more openly.
The outcome
The session exceeded expectations. Team morale rose sharply on the day, and positive feedback continued for months afterwards.
Client quote
“Our workshop exceeded expectations. We ended the day with our morale at an all-time high and I continue to get great feedback from my team months after the event.” – Neil Laver, Sales Director, Microsoft
FEATURED CASE STUDY 6:
MIDDLE EAST SOFTWARE COMPANY (CEO COACHING)
Transforming boardroom communication and leadership impact
The challenge
Following the acquisition of a major regional software company by a leading international bank, the CEO needed to present regularly to the new parent company’s board.
However, feedback from senior leaders was concerning. His board presentations were far too long, often running to 45 minutes, and his delivery made it difficult for the audience to follow his message. His naturally deep, growly voice and dense content meant key points were often lost.
The bank had invested heavily in the acquisition and needed the CEO to communicate far more clearly and effectively at board level.
What we did
Jack worked with the CEO through a series of focused coaching sessions designed to sharpen his messaging and improve his delivery.
Together they dramatically simplified the structure of his presentation, reducing it from 45 minutes to around 15 minutes while making the core message far clearer.
The coaching also focused on vocal delivery, helping him bring more energy, clarity and emphasis to his communication so that his ideas were easier to understand and more engaging to listen to.
The outcome
The improvement was immediate. The CEO’s presentations became shorter, clearer and far more impactful.
Following the coaching, he requested additional sessions to continue developing his communication.
Soon afterwards, Jack was invited to work with the entire C-suite team and later with senior managers and sales directors across the organisation.
What began as coaching for one leader became a wider communication programme across the business.
Testimonial
Jack helped change the way he communicated with the board. His presentations became shorter, clearer and far more engaging. The improvement was obvious very quickly, and it’s one of the reasons we later asked Jack to work with the wider leadership team.”
