How does Jack achieve results so quickly?
One of the most important parts of Jack’s training is the individual coaching – the one to one work. Most presentation companies will offer a version of this service. What makes Jack’s different is the speed that he achieves solutions.
Jack learnt his trade running hundreds and hundreds of comedy workshops. At the end of every workshop there was a show – a comedy show. It had to be funny. This meant that in less than a day, Jack had to take often very inexperienced clients from zero to funny. Jack has transferred these unique set of coaching skills across to business.
If one applies Malcolm Gladwell’s theory http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kq2n1Jlx5P0 then the trainees aren’t getting anything like 10,000 hours – the change sometimes happens in five minutes! Jack gets people to replicate something they have been doing for at least 10,000 hours, in a business setting – conversing. As most top stand ups will tell you – you do stand up as though you’re having a conversation with one person. It’s the same with presenting.
This is why Jack has that logo on the home page, the “up” of stand up! The main difference between having a chat and presenting is just that – standing up. The process of communication is almost exactly the same. Hence our company name – Stand Up and Deliver.
